Airwalk Unsigned Hero

In previous years the Airwalk Unsigned Hero promotion was lumped together with the general Airwalk ad campaign with only a small copy call out that provided information about the promotion, usually supported by an unrelated image. With the growing success of Unsigned Hero it became necessary to distinctly separate the two by completely rebranding the promotion, giving the contest it's own visual identity. This process included an identity redesign, ad comps and the creation of elements that would be carried over to web, video, print and environmental graphics. The result was an increase in nominations by more than 700%!

Unsigned Hero Road to Austin is an on-line battle of the bands promotion where the winner is determined by consumer voting. The winning band/musician ultimately wins a prize package that includes playing an exclusive SPIN stage at SXSW Music Festival 2010. Also included in the prize package is an opportunity for the winning band/musician to design a series of products that are launched and sold at Airwalk.com and other websites.
